What color top to wear with a red maxi skirt for an upcoming holiday in Sri Lanka?

The skirt has a dipped hem and an elasticized waist. I have a bit of a tummy, would like something that just falls on the hips …I was thinking another bold color (green or mustard as opposed to black or white).
