What type of footwear are they wearing in Europe this winter? I’m going to Germany & Prague for the Christmas & New Year holidays. What should I bring for basics?

What type of footwear are they wearing in Europe this winter?Footwear is looking very practical. Women want to be comfortable. Knee high boots, ankle boots, oxfords and athletic shoes are favorites. It will be very cold that time of year. Choose one basic color (black, navy, brown, gray) and everything else you bring should go with that color. Bring pants/jeans for day and 2 pairs of pants for evening in your basic color. They pack easily and will not wrinkle if you put plastic cleaning bags in their folds. One pencil style skirt (optional for day or evening. Bring tops in different colors (washable if possible) and a cardigan sweater in your basic color. A few accessories like scarves, costume jewelry and/ or belts will help vary your look. Bring boots (ankle and /or knee-high), 2 pairs of shoes that are comfortable for daytime activities and 1 dress up pair of shoes. Wear a warm coat or jacket (puffers are popular) that goes with your outfits. Your holiday sounds wonderful. Prepare to bundle up.
