Hermès artisans can only make about five Birkins a week. Traditionally the Birkin was made out of brown crocodile but now available in many luscious colors. It is the iconic symbol of fashion, luxury and wealth. A crocodile Hermès Birkin bag with diamonds sold at auction for $222,000.
