A fancy resort sounds like an awesome venue for a cocktail party. You can get dressed up and the weather should be balmy. Knee length cocktail dresses are always in good taste. Dresses that are too short don’t flatter females with unattractive legs. If you wear a simple style sheath dress add a piece of statement jewelry, earrings or dressy accessories to add some glamour. A little black dress in a light weight fabric is always appropriate for a cocktail party but it might be fun to wear something in a color instead of black since the weather will be warm. Or there is nothing wrong with wearing pants in a dressy fabric like silk with a stylish top and some flattering jewelry. Sandals are great for warm weather events and you can go with bare legs. Carry a shawl or sweater for cool weather cool. Whatever you decide to wear it should be flattering on you. These choices, a cocktail dress, a sheath dress or pants will fill the bill for all ages.
