How to Wear a Brooch

How to Wear a BroochTurn an Ordinary Outfit
into Something Fabulous

An attractive brooch can turn an ordinary outfit into something fabulous. The brooch can go in and out of style but a brooch is a classic jewelry piece to own. In fact, it is fun to have more than two or three.  Brooches come in a variety of materials, styles, and sizes and are very versatile jewelry pieces that can be worn with casual or dressy clothes.

Worn at the neck of a collard blouse or a buttoned-up shirt a brooch gives you a prim look. If you want to add drama to an outfit a brooch can be used to clasp a wrap over a suit or an evening gown. Brooches can be placed squarely on chests of sweaters, dresses, or jackets as statement pieces or pinned to the breast of a blouse or jacket. Popular ways to wear a brooch are on the collar of a suit or pin one to a satin clutch. Brooches can be worn as necklaces when fixed to a ribbon or scarf. They look sexy when worn on the V of a V neckline and stylish attached to a strap on a dress, placed on a hat, or worn as a hair ornament. Brooches should contrast with the background of what you are wearing. Bright garments look good with colored brooches. Silver and diamante brooches look best on black or dark-colored clothes. Experiment with brooches and where to place them for a chic look.
