Give Yourself a New You
Anytime is a great time to pamper yourself. Get a facial, a body massage or that new pair of shoes that you can’t live without. It is also a great time to evaluate your diet, skin and makeup.




A good look in the mirror at your shape will tell you if you need to change your diet for a healthier you. If you are overweight, make a plan to lose some of those extra pounds. A few less calories and a good walk everyday will help you look and feel better. Rate the progress of your diet every month. If you have gotten away from your routine of fewer calories and exercise to lose pounds, start over. Rome wasn’t built in one day!

The winter months tend to take a toll on your skin. Changes in the weather often cause skin dehydration. Start by making an appointment with a board certified dermatologist. This is the best beauty investment you can make. He or she can evaluate your skin and suggest skin care and/or the best skin care products for you.  This will help stretch your skin care dollars. During the annual visit, your dermatologist can describe the latest treatments for skin ailments like dark or red spots, sun damage, psoriasis, etc. and check you for skin cancer.

Some new make up can lift your spirits. Go through your makeup drawer and throw away both the old and unused things you have accumulated. Get an idea of what you already own and make sure it is in good condition before you shop for new products. If you can’t remember how long you have had it, you should probably toss it. Two years is about max for most products.

Check out the new spring colors. Get a new lipstick color. If you wear blush and foundation, why not try new colors that work with the new lipstick color. Start the New Year off by taking better care of yourself and and see how much more enjoyable the year can be!
