What style & color shoes should I wear with an olive-green dress? I am going to a formal wedding.
Olive green has golden undertones, a very positive color. It is considered to be flattering to most skin tones. An olive-green dress sounds lovely for a formal wedding. It is a very versatile color making it easy to choose a shoe color that works. Shoe colors such as pewter, gold, beige, tan, reds (maroon) , and violets are colors that will work with your olive-green dress. Black patent leather is another option. Since this is a formal wedding you can choose a closed toe pump or slingback style shoe and pair with ultra sheer neutral/nude color stockings. If you have great legs you can go bare-legged with strappy sandals. It is not considered “cool” to wear sheer stockings with sandal style shoes however many women wear what they would like today. Tip: Stockings give an outfit a polished look.
