Stand out styles for 2016 Spring / Summer are on there way or in your favorite stores now. There is something for everyone so don’t despair. Designers have heard women’s desires for comfortable and more relaxed clothing and there are more choices than ever before.
The lingerie trend is very big with pajamas, slip dresses and mule shoes. What is more comfortable than bedroom clothes? Believe it or not some look pretty good and if you are young and / or brave go for it. You might want to incorporate a few of these pieces into your 2016 spring / summer wardrobe. We all can stock up on mules or maybe even a pajama top.
Paperbag-waist pants, skirts and shorts are another trend that we probably don’t have in our wardrobes. This is another style that shouts comfortable. If you can wear them go for it. They look best on small waists. However trim ankle pant styles might look good on more of us so do a mirror test before you decide.
Bold stripes is another hot trend for 2016 spring / summer. If you don’t want to wear them think about an accessory like a handbag or scarf in a bold colorful stripe. Bold stripes will add a POP of excitement to a classic style.
Accessory trends are dangling earrings, wearing two different earrings at the same time, or wear just one earring at a time. Chokers, multiple cuff bracelets, and brooches are more ways to give you an au currant look. There are handbags in different colors, materials and sizes but the Drew bag shaped like a half moon is this seasons hot bag.
Shoe trends seen on designer runways were sneakers, stilettos, classic oxfords, statement heels and sandals. Mules, slippers, gladiator sandals, ankle ribbons and pointed toe heels will give you a modern look. Look for something in rainbow colors or white.
Shiny fabrics, animal prints or something in the seasonal colors; blues, pinks, and orange are other ways to update your spring / summer look.
If you did a closet audit at the end of last summer you know what things you need to add to bring your spring / summer wardrobe up to date. Take an inventory before you go shopping to make your clothing go further.
