What color heels & legwear should I wear to a fraternity party? It’s a formal, in New Orleans in January. I plan to wear a red, short dress. I think the weather is going to be in the 70’s.

Fraternity formals are not as formal as sorority formals, so your short red dress should be perfect. You have a number of shoe style and legwear options. Gold or silver metallic shoes would look awesome with your red dress. Bone /nude color or black shoes would also work. If you have good looking legs and plan to go without stockings any style shoe will work. If you are wearing open toe or strappy style shoes nude color stockings are a no no. Keep in mind that stockings give any outfit a more polished and classy look and would look smart at a fraternity party. Ultra sheer nude color stockings look chic with closed toe shoes.
