What color stockings & accessories can I wear with a midnight blue dress? I’m wearing taupe color sandal style shoes & it’s for an evening wedding.

What color stockings & accessories can I wear with a midnite blue dress? A midnight blue dress and taupe color sandal style shoes will look good together. The trend today is to go without stockings when wearing sandals. The point to strappy sandals is to show off your feet. However your legs need to be a lovely color or tan to pull off the bare leg look. If you want to wear stockings with strappy sandals be sure they are ultra sheer and are “sandal foot” (without re-enforced toes and heels).  A taupe color handbag would look nice with taupe color shoes. Pearl and sparkly (quality rhinestone or diamond) jewelry would look festive with your blue dress and taupe color accessories. Metal (gold or silver) jewelry will work with your outfit also. Experiment taking into consideration your skintone and hair color when choosing your jewelry. Weddings are special events and guests should shine.

What Should the Wedding Guest Wear?
Be a stylish wedding guest! Weddings are to celebrate, occasions to dress up. The wedding invitation provides the information to help you decide what to wear. Daytime (morning and afternoon) weddings are more casual than evening or formal weddings. Today any color is appropriate with the exception of white which is reserved for the bride.

Accessorize Like the French
The French chic know how to transform their look with accessories. They accessorize to change the look of their neutral color, classic, basic style clothing. French women know how to add a trendy accessory every season.  They accessorize their basics with one or two other colors. They always buy trendy items that go with what they have in their closet.  A good quality bold, splashy color handbag or a trendy detail like a new shade of lipstick will accessorize a basic.
