Can I wear a bralette to a cocktail party?

A bralette is a soft bra that is sexy and comfortable to wear and can / should be worn over a bra for support. The lingerie look is very difficult to wear anywhere including a cocktail party. Of course for celebrities or the young with drop dead figures, plenty of confidence and those wanting to be noticed it’s a go. (Avoid if you are over 30.) Bralettes look great under sheer fabric tops and shirt style blouses. If you wear a bralette pair it with pants or skirts and take care to cover yourself up enough so you look chic and not cheap. A bralette can be worn under a dress with a touch of lace showing around the neckline, a more conservative option. Add a touch of class by wearing this trend (bralettes, silky, lacy camisoles, or a bustier tops) under a tailored jacket or blazer that covers most skin. Keep your accessories and hairstyle simple. Tip: When wearing with a skirt the hemline should reach around your knees.
