Black high heel boots can be appropriate with a red wrap dress with a flare skirt. Whether they will look good and be appropriate to wear for a September wedding depends on the wedding (formal or informal) and how they look with your dress. Most weddings are to celebrate and dress up. If your boots are a dressy style and look feminine with your dress you can probably get away with wearing them to an informal wedding. Dressy pumps or slingback style shoes would be my choice for a formal or evening wedding. When in doubt don’t! Whatever you decide to wear you want to look good, feel comfortable and be confident.
What Should the Wedding Guest Wear?
Be a stylish wedding guest! Weddings are to celebrate, occasions to dress up. The wedding invitation provides the information to help you decide what to wear. Daytime (morning and afternoon) weddings are more casual than evening or formal weddings. Today any color is appropriate with the exception of white which is reserved for the bride.
Shoes Every Woman Must Own
Shoes have tremendous transformative power. They can make or break your look, and along with that your mood. But too many of them require you to be too careful when you have them on. While the diversity in the shoe department is like a gift from God, it also makes us lose sight of which are the must-haves and which are simply there because they look good but don’t necessarily do anything for you.
Party Dress Codes

When types of “dress codes” are indicated such as “smart casual”, “semi-formal,” “vineyard casual”, “festive”, “cocktail chic” or etc. it can throw us for a loop. Where should one begin to figure out what any of these types of dress codes mean?
