  • Beyond the PINK, Breast Cancer Awareness Month

In honor of breast cancer awareness month I would like to mention a designer, David Meister, who is to be honored for his contributions as a Pink Tie Guy for the Susan G. Komen foundation. This month at the first annual Gala “Designs for the Cure” in Los Angeles, California, Meister is on the forefront of breast cancer awareness. The gala is about  recognizing men who have strongly contributed to raising awareness this year.

  • How to Choose the Best Earrings for You

A lot can be learned through trial and error when it comes to choosing earrings. The true test is checking the mirror to see how they look on you with the outfit you are wearing. To find the best earrings for you It is important to determine your face shape. Next when purchasing and wearing earrings consider the earring size, and shape, and your skin tone. If you have tiny features something lighter looking will suit you best. The opposite is true if you are a large woman, a larger size will flatter you.

  • Shoes for Comfort

Flats are a coveted classic tweaked and revisited season after season. Flats come sophisticated, vintage, retro, and not to mention offer us ladies a comfort zone that is chic and sassy. A good constructed flat will offer you not only comfort and stability and should never feel as though you are wearing a house slipper. A modest ½ to 1 inch kitten heel or even a 1inch wedge heel raises the bar on flats from low to somewhat mid heel.
  • Ways to Get a Great Bra Fit

Knowing how to find a great fitting bra now will help you with your health and your self esteem for the rest of your life! Whether you have questions about how your bra should fit, or simply how to pick one out, these tips will make sure you get a great fit for the rest of your life.

  • Wearing Prints and Patterns

When choosing things to wear, we want to accentuate the positive. The first thing to think about when selecting prints and patterned clothing is scale. Large prints will call attention to you and your size. Small women don't look good in clothing with large prints and patterns. Large women are already noticeable and will just call attention to their size when wearing large prints and patterns. Scale the prints to your size and you're "good to go."

  • What Message Are You Sending By The Colors You Wear?

Believe it or not what colors you are wearing can describe how you are feeling and what type of person you are. If you are wearing red or yellow you will be noticed fairly quickly. These colors are  good "attention getters." You are probably an outgoing, confident, and warm person with high self esteem.

  • Dress to Kill: How to Bring Your Wardrobe Back to Life!

Being the quintessential sultry goddess we all desire doesn’t involve strategically planning each outfit. So, what does? Ladies, simply working with what you’ve got is the key. Now let’s spark your creativity and revamp your wardrobe.

  • What Do You and Bette Midler Have In Common?

I love Bette Midler’s incredible energy, quick wit and quirky style.  While she is often over the top on many levels, she is also always (at least in her public persona) perfectly Bette. Whether you love her style or cringe when you see it, her message is something we can all admire.  Bette is Bette – loud and clear! There is also a somewhat famous quote attributed to Bette which says, “I have my standards.  They’re low.  But I have them.”

  • Summer Sales, Stretch Your Clothing Dollars

July and August are both great months to go through your summer wardrobe and start tossing out summer clothes that don't fit or have not been working for you this season. You can take the rejects to your favorite charity and get a tax write off. The keepers are pieces that are in good condition and that you wear more often than anything else.

  • Power Scarves for Professional Women

There is nothing better or more luxurious in the scarf category than a Hermès silk scarf. This accessory (at least one) is a must have in the professional woman's wardrobe. They have beautiful designs and can add color to a basic suit or dress that says power and authority in a quiet way.
