What to Wear on an Airplane Trip - 5 Tips

Travel Options

Excerpts from an article by Christopher Elliott, Trouble Shooter Thibune Media Services

 1. Travel in dark clothes as it doesn't show dirt like light colored clothing.  If your luggage is lost, you might have to wear the outfit you are traveling in for another day. Light color clothing shows stains more than dark color clothes. When you travel with light color clothing you might end up sending clothes to the hotel's laundry (expensive) or doing extra hand laundry.

2. Wear a pair of comfortable travel shoes that slip on and off (with a back). They are convenient when going through security, too. Don't wear high heels as they could cause problems in an emergency situation.

3. Wear comfortable clothing, not sloppy clothing. People have a higher opinion of you when you look good. "Tight clothes can be uncomfortable and even hazardous to your health (heard of deep vein thrombosis, a.k.a. economy class syndrome)?"

4. Choose natural fiber clothing. Synthetic fabrics should be avoided because they do not breathe as well.

5. Wear odorless toiletries and if you must wear a fragrance, it should be light smelling (fragrance that stays in your space.) The air circulates on airplanes and some passengers might be allergic. "Do unto others, as you would like others to do unto you."
