Spring is around the corner and before you know it summer will be just a few months away...now as fashion moguls we prepare for the next season of events and that includes Weddings. As a former Bridal consultant at David’s Bridal I can say I survived Wedding Christmas, it’s those 4 months after Xmas in which brides to be start planning their summer weddings and early fall weddings. At stores like David’s Bridal there is a dress for everyone and every budget. But there is something even better approaching David’s Bridal this Wedding Christmas -the launch of Vera Wang’s the “White” collection. I may not be a bride to be YET, but when I heard about this launch I was absolutely ecstatic! Vera Wang is the icon of wedding gown designers and not only is she designing gowns and dresses for David’s but be prepared to see headpieces, veils, and shoes.

Wang describes her collection as romantic, ethereal, sexy, art, and fabulously insane. She uses the classic wedding fabrics including organza, tulle, silks, satin, lace and silhouettes inspired by the Napoleon empire high waist and Edgar Degas, a French painter famous for his paintings of ballet dancers. The shapes and styles of her gowns capture the essence of floral blossoms, origami flowers, and simplistic tiers of pleats, ribbons, and bows. Her dresses offer a couture look that is both feminine and sensual in soft shades of white, blushes and even silver.  But compare her David’s collection with her spring and fall 2011 couture collection and study the amazing detail of both price points. You will agree that Wang has expanded her craft and has made it accessible to all women who love fashion, quality, and design.
