Holiday Clothing Fashion Tips

It's Better to be Underdressed Than Overdressed

It's holiday party time! What to wear to those holiday festivities does not have to be a problem. Before you venture out to shop look in your closet. You might find exactly what you need without spending a dime.

A blouse or sweater with sequins or beads always looks festive. You can wear a dressy top with a classic pencil skirt or tailored pants. Keep the jewelry simple and you'll look great! A pair of button earrings is all you need with this top.

A piece of statement jewelry lifts a wardrobe classic to a festive level. If you don't have one in your jewelry box try combining several (2, 3 or 4) necklaces together. You can mix silver, gold, and pearls to make a unique statement necklace.

A pair of dressy shoes adds a holiday look to your favorite evening classic. With a pair of black pumps wear nude or a shade of black stockings. The sexy peep-toe shoes should be worn with tights, dark sheer, toeless stockings or without hosiery. If you are not wearing stockings get a pedicure and apply bronzer to white legs. If you can't stand the cold, closed toe sling backs are another dressy style that you can wear with hosiery.

Carry a small colored purse to daytime or evening parties. Wear with a monotone outfit and add some good looking jewelry and /or a scarf to complete your look.

Dressy stockings look terrific during the holidays. However you need great legs to wear them. Any stockings with patterns or designs will call attention to your legs and ankles. These stockings with a stripe pattern look fantastic with a black pencil skirt or classic black sheath dress.

You can wear elegant earrings to add excitement to a holiday outfit. Or add some drama for the Christmas holidays with a lovely shawl/pashmina.

If you don't have any of these things in your closet, you can purchase one of them and wear  them for many holidays to come. Happy holidays!
