Well Fitting and Comfortable Swimsuits Give You Confidence
How to Choose the Right Bathing Suit For Your Body
Most of us look at models wearing the latest swimwear fashions and wish we were young and / or thin enough to look as fabulous wearing a swimsuit as they do. The good news is that there is a swimsuit for almost everyone. We are very fortunate today because there are many flattering swimsuit designs / cuts in the latest hi-tech fabrics to help us look our best.
Start by assessing your body type; triangle, inverted triangle, rectangle or hour glass. You need to know which areas to accentuate and which areas to downplay.
Triangle Body Shapes are smaller on the top and wider at the bottom. Swimsuits with padding in the bust area or styles with some design or detail like horizontal stripes, prints or ruffles across the bust area are flattering on small busted women. Adjustable straps help give a better top fit. Halter tops, bandeau and triangle tops are a good choices also. One piece bathing suits or the bottoms of two piece suits should be dark on triangle figure types.
Inverted Triangle Body Shapes are larger on top and have narrow hips. Solid dark color tops minimize large busted women and details around the hip area balance the top area. A suit with interest in the hip area like draping, pleats, ruffles, etc. or a two piece suit with boy shorts is another option for inverted triangle figures.
Rectangle Body Shapes don't have waists and look good in bikini suits. Cut out swimsuits flatter the rectangle figure. Empire styles and diagonal stripes will help rectangular figure types look like they have more shape.
Hour Glass Figure Shapes have a balanced body with a defined waist. Two piece or one piece swimsuits in solid colors or small prints look great on hour glass figures. More tips for choosing flattering swimwear:
