A Holiday Staple –The LBD

Understated Elegance

The LBD (Little Black Dress) still remains the ultimate wardrobe staple after fifty years. Audrey Hepburn is responsible for putting it on the fashion map when she wore this glamorous black Givenchy cocktail dress in the “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” movie.  Alive and well today the LBD is not always as serious as the one worn by Ms. Hepburn. Black dresses today reflect the modern woman and can be fun, au courant, and free spirited.

The modern LBD can be leather  and / or lace, torn, stretched, transparent or have an exaggerated shape or a masculine  twist.  Like the modern woman a black dress can go many places, it is easy to wear, chic, fashionable and in good taste. All you need is one classic style black dress to get you through the parties and festivities of the season, but you can’t have too many!!

Change your accessories (jewelry, stockings, handbag, & belts) when you wear your LBD and you can achieve many new looks and and feel confident.
