What's New

Fall & Winter Fashion Trends

  • 2011 Hot Fall Trends

The hot colors for 2011 fall are rust colors, earthy colors, mauves (wine) and  grays.
Leather in every color for jackets, vests, skirts, and dresses along with fur trim on collars, gloves, sleeves, shoes, and skirts are strong. Hemlines are mostly knee length or below.

  • Pajamas and Pantsuits

Designers have given birth this season to fashion pajamas and pantsuits in wild, bold prints and abstract patterns. These fashion statements are not for the faint of heart. If you desire to be noticed these head to toe ensembles will turn heads. If you prefer not to stand out in a crowd they are not for you. The pants alone with a solid color top may work for some. You can combine a patterned jacket with a solid color bottom (skirt or pants).

  • Nail Fashion / New Nail Trends

"Nail art is exploding, designs and patterns are all over the place" said Sindy M, co- owner of Wild Orchid Nail Spa in San Francisco. Today fashion forward women are not choosing one nail polish color but trying combinations like 1/3 half moon look (hi French) and doing a lighter shade of color near the cuticle and a different polish shade towards their nail ends. Popular color shading combinations are grays, nudes, pastels, pinks, turquoise, and tans.
  • The Great Cover Up -  A Maxi Coat

Women’s overcoats are reaching new Lows. They are sweeping ankles and floors and providing drama to one’s winter wardrobe. These great coats are not only a top trend but the perfect cover up for midi length dresses and skirts and long maxi dresses and pants. There are a variety of longer length coats in stores, some hitting between knees and ankles, some are ankle lengths and some numbers graze the floors.

  • Go Bold with Color

This seasons color trends are sharp, vibrant and full of zest. Use color to update your wardrobe by stepping out of your comfort zone and adding colors that are bright, rich, mod, and sophisticated.

  • Hemlines are Making A Downward Move

Short is no longer chic! Of course the mini skirt has not disappeared, but it is no longer as "Hot" as it has been in the past. The last couple of seasons designers have been adding longer length hemlines to some of their new styles. Dresses and skirts are creeping back in popularity with hemlines anywhere from the knees to the ankles. These longer length, retro-inspired, hemlines are the hottest trend in women's fashion this season.
  • Hot Fashion – Heat Generating Clothing

Several companies have come out with clothing that generates heat and which make them perfect for winter weather and cool temperatures.  Uniglo, the Japanese retailer, has a line  of clothing called “Heattech.”  Heattech fabric “creates heat to warm you up and keep you warm.” Believe it or not they introduced a few pieces in 2003 and have since sold over millions of fashions made from “Heattech”.

  • Fall Trend Update

Because designers can no longer dictate trends, just about anything you wear that flatters you, is age appropriate and right for the occasion you're wearing it for is "in" style. The hot new fashion trends below are the most popular for this fall and winter and are ways to add some excitement to your wardrobe.

  • Fall Footwear Trends

Fall shoes are full of great new trends and classic inspirations.  There’s a variety of shoe styles to choose from so juxtapose your shoe choice with your mood. Feeling sexy? Try stiletto peep toe booties. Feeling relaxed -Audrey Hepburn inspired flats in black are always chic and classic. Feeling rugged yet feminine how about a neat pair of outdoorsy canvas booties. Are you witchy today? Why not a pair of lace up stiletto booties to fly off in-just for fun! Reminiscing on those college days? Try a pair of classic loafers.
  • Hot Fashion Trends For Fall

Every new season is an opportunity to see what designers think we should have in our wardrobes. This fall is no different. However, designers no longer have the power to dictate fashion that they once had. Today the stylish woman decides pretty much what she wants to wear influenced by trends from runway shows.
