The “New” Fall Heel Height

The last few years shoes have been the ultimate accessory. Shoe styles with heels as high as 7" were seen in shoe stores around the world. Not too many women can walk in heels that high. Even fashion runway models had trouble walking in these shoes. In fact it was big news this year when a model fell on a runway.

Well the pendulum is beginning to swing in a new direction. Designers' are beginning to incorporate low and mid heel shoe styles into Fall lines. Women are looking for comfort again making the "kitten" heel and wedge styles hot footwear styles for this Fall.

"Kitten" heels look feminine and come in a variety of shoe styles. They have low heels set back from the heel of the shoe. Some of the hot shoe designers like Manolo Blahnik, Lindsay Phillips, Jimmey Choo, Azzedine Alaïa, Christian Louboutin.
and Stella McCartney have focused on the kitten heel.
