Romance and elegance are the adjectives to describe fashion for Spring and Summer 2007. Of course everything and anything goes these days because women are choosing their clothes to fit their lifestyles. But lets hope they will make the right decisions and dress according to good taste, taking into consideration their figure type, age and coloring. Fashion trends come and go. Spend the most money on your basic clothing pieces. After completing a wardrobe audit and making a list of needed and "must haves" these are the up coming trends.
 
Colors: Pale/ soft dusty colors - favorites are ivory, cream, pink, yellow, blue, light gray, violet and khaki. Also, bright colors like hot pink and electric blue are favorites for Spring.
Fabrics: Airy layers of light fabrics; lightweight chiffons, and lace; dressy fabrics for day time (satin, taffeta brocade, organdy for daytime skirts, jackets and walking shorts). Fabrics with a shine (the metallic look) and fabrics with geometric patterns are big this Spring.
Details: Embroidery, ruffles, ribbons, metallic thread and flowers.
Dresses: Loose silhouettes: tents, sacks, shifts, empire waists, and slip dresses
Jackets: Cropped and Fitted (wear with lacy blouses)
Tops: With ruffles, lace, belted satin blouses and tunics.
Pants: Shorts, plus tapered, cropped and capri pants.
Dhoti (Indian pants) under dresses.
Shoes: Metallic shoes and boots, platforms, high heels, wedges, and open toed flats. Clear plastic and patent leather shoes are hot this Spring too.
