Several companies have come out with clothing that generates heat and which make them perfect for winter weather and cool temperatures.  Uniglo, the Japanese retailer, has a line  of clothing called “Heattech.”  Heattech fabric “creates heat to warm you up and keep you warm.” Believe it or not they introduced a few pieces in 2003 and have since sold over millions of fashions made from “Heattech”.  The clothing is manufactured from a high-tech fiber that is suppose to turn moisture from the body into heat.  The “Heattech” line consists of basic tops, tights, leggings, mufflers, hats and skinny jeans; giving a new meaning to “Hot Pants.”

Cold Weather Gear” is clothing that can be found at Brookstone online. Their jackets and heated vests use “rechargeable battery power and three-levels of heat to warm you for up to five hours.” Carbon fiber panels heat without restricting movement. The fabrics are described as light weight and  have a rchargeable battery pack and heat controller that fit into internal zippered pockets. The wearer gets up to five hours of heat per charge. The line also has glove liners, sock liners, and heated insoles with “invisible heating.”

A German Company, WarmX, is offering “heatable underwear for the cold seasons of the year.”  It has silver-plated polyamide threads woven into the underwear and claims to warm up directly on the skin. They have a small battery control unit, about the size of a cell phone, with three settings that supplies sufficient energy to keep you warm for up to six hours at a stretch and is machine washable. They also have heated tights that promise to deliver heat to your foot area.
