Because designers can no longer dictate trends, just about anything you wear that flatters you, is age appropriate and right for the ocassion you're wearing it for is "in" style. The hot new fashion trends below are the most popular for this fall and winter and are ways to add some excitement to your wardrobe. 

1.    The feminine look / silhouette is back with the waist and bust being focal points.   A fitted dress with a full skirt will say “updated look.”  

3.    Luxurious fabrics like lace, metallic, velvet, satin, silk, etc. are extremely hot.  Some clothes have have metal and/or feather trims.

                                   

4.    Soft, restrained, understated simple and elegant handbags are replacing the structured handbag with metal trims.

5.    Menswear and horseback riding apparel are influencing daytime clothing.

6.    Staples like plaid, cashmere, leather and tweed say it’s Fall.

                             

7.    High waisted pants are  “in” if you are tall and slender.

8.    “Wild” is a continuing theme. Animal prints, fur and faux fur accessories and trims are abundant.

9.    Monotone outfits in reds, greens or a neutral colosr are other hot fashion trends.
