Russia is producing numbers of Russian models, fashion journalists, stylists and customers for haute couture fashion. Russian fashionistas are visible in the front rows of couture shows in Paris outspending clients in India, China and Brazil. With rising incomes there has been a growing interest in fashion and designers in Paris, Italy, England are catering to these conspicuous consumers. Designer labels like Versace, Chanel, Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, etc. are popular with Russian fashion trend setters. Russian risk takers wear bold prints, designer pajamas, turbans, etc. On our recent visit to Russia the global trends like sky high heels, bright colors, maxi dresses, skinny pants, etc. were evident. Women in Moscow seem to be more fashion conscious than the ladies of St. Petersburg.
