You can go either way. If you want to wear something like a silk or satin dressy dress for the noon church ceremony you can wear the same outfit to the reception. However, since the wedding ceremony is at noon and the reception is formal and in the evening you can choose to wear two outfits. For the church ceremony you can wear a nice suit, dress or two piece outfit and then something like a cocktail or long dress for the reception. You might want to check with some of the other guests to see what they are doing (1 or 2 outfits). Wear what you will be comfortable and feel confident in.
