Business meeting in NYC. I am 61 years old. size 10. Trying to decide what to wear to this important meeting: 1- black pencil skirt, ruffled blouse, cool belt, black sweater...boots that KILL my feet, but look great....or...heels...with black tights? hose? or 2- black wool pants, black turtleneck (loose neck), tweed jacket with very sharp stand-up-neck collar 3- white, cowl neck, above the knee dress with black tights.

Black is very, very chic in NYC and screams power. Your black pencil skirt, cool belt, black sweater with tights or sheer black stockings with black pumps will look great. Forget the boots if they kill your feet. Also, black wool pants, and a black turtleneck (loose neck), with a tweed jacket with very sharp stand-up-neck collar will look good. Jackets are more formal looking than sweaters. You'll have to decide what message to send at this meeting.
