I want to wear a sequined mini skirt for New Year's Eve, is it OK to wear a lace top with it?

                            

A mini sequin skirt should be fun for New Year's Eve. However, a lace top might compete with your sequin skirt. A satin, silk or velvet top might be a better choice. You can also try a cashmere sweater with some sequin trim.
