My niece is having a quinceñera (it's like a sweet 16 party ). I am not sure whether it is best to wear a short or long dress. What do you think?

If this is going to be a formal event with a reception in a hotel or banquet hall with live music and the girls wearing long gowns you can wear a long dress if you wish. If the event will be at something like a VFW Hall a nice after 5 dress or suit would be fine. If the event is at someones home a Sunday dress would be good.
