A dark gray, black suit with a dress shirt in white or pink with a tie that has plum and pink in it. For example if your date wears a dark gray suit with a pink dress shirt his tie can have pink, plum, gray, & champagne in it. A stripe or printed tie will look nice. Or he can wear a traditional tux if it is black tie optional.
