Purple shoes would look great with a gray outfit or purple dress/outfit. Other colors like beige, taupe, blues, black, etc. can look good with the color purple depending on the color intensity. If the purple is really dark it would probably look better with lighter shades of a color. If the shoes are pale they will probably will look nice with darker colors. The best way to decide is to try your shoes with a few different outfits to see which look the best together.
