I have a pewter colored dress, kind of a shimmer to the fabric, very fitted, length is just above knee. Should I wear sheer black stockings or nude/neutral. My shoes are black satin with pewter embellishment, and a pewter & black floral purse.

Sheer black stockings will probably work with your pewter colored dress, black satin shoes with a pewter embellishment and a pewter and black floral purse. If you don't think sheer black stockings look good after a mirror test try ultra sheer neutral or ultra sheer gray. Then decide.
