My skin in caramel, I"m African American. My hair is dark brown with some grey. I'm 60. Is red lipstick too much for me?

There are no absolute color rules. You have to try colors to see how they look with your skin tone/color. If you think a particular color looks good on you do not hesitate to wear that color.
