What's New

I am accepting a national award at a conference in March. I am 57, 5'6", average build [not skinny, could lose 20 pounds], size 10 or 12), dark brown hair. Is it better to wear bold colors, bright lipstick, etc.? Or is neutral with one focus point more effective? I don't want to look garish, but I don't want to look bland, either.

Congratulations on receiving a National Award. A bold color outfit will draw attention to your size. A dark suit (navy) with a colorful blouse and lovely jewelry will be in good taste for  your conference award event. It is important to draw attention to your head area with an up-to-date hair style, flattering makeup and good jewelry.
