Without seeing the combination I would say no. It is difficult to pull off that combination. However, some women might be able to pull it off. Possibly a brown tweed jacket with dark brown slacks that have a thin stripe might look OK. If you think the jacket and slacks you have in mind might work try them on and decide if the combination is flattering on you. Wear them together if you look good in the outfit. When in doubt don't.
