Yes you can wear a nice pant suit to cocktails, dinner and the theatre. You might want to change your jewelry after work to something festive, but pearls are always chic at work or in the evening. Try a few different pieces of jewelry (statement necklace with pearl earrings, diamond stud earrings with pearls, etc) on with your pant suit ahead of time to determine the best combination. Use your imagination! The more stylish your suit, the less jewelry you need.
