I purchased a halter/low back maxi dress from Express. It was merchandised with the sequin cocktail dresses for New Year's dresses. Can I wear this to a formal New Year's party at a hotel? I am having second thoughts. Thanks!

A long halter (maxi) dress in a solid color should be appropriate for a formal New Year's party at a hotel. A print maxi might be too casual looking. If in doubt don't wear it.
