Going to wedding rehearsal Oct 15th in Brooklyn, 6 PM. I have a Joseph Ribkoff jacket, chocolate mousse with black print and pairing with a wide leg trouser. Black pump. I 've been advise this is not a good. Traveling to wedding so don't have a traveling closet. I am 62, 5'5" and a size 2 or 4. I am in need of help here. I had a long swing skirt and i returned that I got the pants. Now I have been told "No" to that choice.

A chocolate mousse jacket, with black print and a wide leg black or dark brown trouser with black pumps sounds very fashionable and perfect for a wedding rehearsal in NY (Brooklyn). Not sure why anyone would tell you "No". It sounds age appropriate and a good choice for a wedding rehearsal. If it looks flattering on you, where it with confidence.
