I have a lovely navy double breasted suit that I would like to wear to an important business meeting, but am not sure that double breasted suits are in style right now. Are they?

A double breasted suit is always in style; it's a classic style. If the suit fits you well it will look great for an important business meeting. Try your suit on and do a mirror test to be sure it fits perfectly. If it needs alterations see your tailor. Looking good has to do with wearing clothes that flatter your figure type and fit you perfectly, are age appropriate and right for the occasion.
