I have what will probably be the most unique fashion problem(s). I'm short, I'm fat, but those aren't issues... In 2005 I was diagnosed with melanoma and had a surgery that left me with a very large area of nerve damage on my hip/rump/leg. Imagine your worst-ever sunburn from just above the knee in the front, around the side, up to the waist in the back. The skin is so sensitive that I can feel subtle changes in air temperature or pressure. Water hurts, air hurts, wind.. you get the idea.
I would like to find some clothing that just looks good and is not painful. I have found super-soft, stretchy fabrics to make my own skirts. Problem with "stretch" is that they do... I recently put on weight and not one thing in my closet seemed to fit any differently! I used to have a good pair of jeans that would let me know when I had gained even 5 pounds. Now, I un-noticeably gained almost 50!! Yes, the diet has begun. The exercise will have to wait until I find something to wear out for a walk. I am so frustrated! I just don't know what to do. I doubt that the hoop shirt will make a fashion return so in the meantime can you suggest anything? Thanks,

I am 52 years old 4 feet 9 inches tall, with a mind of a younger person and fashion sense. I am on strong medication and it is playing havoc with my skin tone making it very pale. My question is what are the best types of clothes and styles for my age and height? I love the younger styles but don't want to look like mutton dressed as lamb. Also can you recommend a make up?
